JBMA Fundraising

Our PTO board is working on ways for our JBMA community to assist with fundraising. We have two existing opportunities--Boxtops and Publix Partners. And two new opportunities--Amazon Smile and Planet Fundraiser.  Please email our PTO President, Pam Holmes at if you have any questions.

PTO Video:

Amazon Smile is a painless way to shop for the holidays and raise money for improvements to our school. All you do is go to Amazon Smile, select Joseph S Bruno as the charity recipient and a percentage comes directly to us. Easy!

Publix Partners no longer uses the scan card. You'll log into your account info and select Joseph Bruno Montessori Academy. Put your phone number in at checkout and the purchase is designated to us. Also easy!

Planet Fundraiser Download the app, select us as the cause, allow notifications. There are a ton of participating local businesses and restaurants and the app will remind you when you are nearby! Fun and easy!

Boxtops for Education are still going strong! Look for a collection page in your child's backpack. Clip the boxtop, tape or glue them down. Once it's filled up, send it back to school! Super easy for kids to do!

Nov 13-16

Our short week was still a busy week.  Between the Peace Ceremony and the Thanksgiving Feast, the children were busy working and learning about the biomes of North American, the native animals of the continent, and the isthmus/strait landforms.  The children had fun working on their turkey placemats and making flower arrangements in preparation for the feast as well as making the pudding for our feast cake dessert!

Thank you all our parents that attended the Peace Ceremony and thank you for all your food donations!  Also thank you to everyone for making our Thanksgiving Feast possible.

Hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and festive Thanksgiving.  We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, Nov 26.  As the weather gets cooler, please remember to dress your children appropriately....with coats, gloves, hats, etc.  As long as the weather permits, we will continue to take the children outside for outdoor play.

Mark your calendars:
* Nov 19 - Nov 23 - Thanksgiving Break
* Monday, Nov 26 - Return from Thanksgiving Break
* Thursday, Dec 6 - Holiday Program @ 6:30 p.m.

Nov 5-9

This week, our 5 year olds went on a exciting field trip to Old Baker Farm. Thanks to the good weather they went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins and visited the cotton field.

As we begin our study of insects, the children received lessons on characteristics of insects and the life cycle of a butterfly.  To introduce North America, we began by unwrapping the North American puzzle map and learning about the many biomes in the continent.

Special thanks to our parents for presenting Diwali to all the Early Childhood children.  We learned Diwali is the Festival of Lights when the victory of light over darkness is celebrated by wish all people in the world goodness and kindness.

For the upcoming Peace Ceremony our class is collecting canned vegetables to be donated to Catholic Center of Concern. These donations are being collect from now until Wednesday.  On Wednesday morning, we will also be collecting fresh fruit and vegetables.  Hope you see you all at the Peace Ceremony!
